Senior QA Engineer

What you will do

• Define and own the QA strategy for the IMF ecosystem end-to-end.
• Plan and execute QA for new features including test plans and technical design discussions.
• Build and maintain automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Establish quality practices and processes across the team to ensure shared responsibility.
• Design and execute production-scale testing and support safe release strategies.
• Collaborate with multi-expertise teams and coordinate with central QA engineers.

Requirements

• Must have experience with complex, distributed backend systems QA (not UI/frontend).
• Ability to design test strategies for multi-component systems.
• Hands-on experience with test automation and CI/CD integration.
• Proficiency in scripting and tooling with Python, Go, or Shell.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills within multi-technology teams.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership as the first QA engineer on the team.

Nice to have

• Experience with data correctness and integrity in large data systems.
• Performance and load testing expertise.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, GCP, gRPC, Kafka, and safe release strategies.
• Experience with observability tools like Grafana and Sentry.
