TL;DR
QA Automation Engineer (Java) (software testing): Developing automated functional and integration tests for Veeam Backup for Salesforce with an accent on backend, frontend, data storage, and API validation. Focus on improving automation tools, increasing test coverage, conducting load testing, and analyzing distributed-system test results.
Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid work. Remote work is possible only when located in Portugal, and applications may be refused from outside Portugal.

What you will do
- Develop testing strategies for software products.
- Build automated functional and integration tests for backend, frontend, data storage, and API scenarios.
- Develop and improve automation tools and maintain test documentation.
- Validate test scenarios created by other testers and conduct functional, integration, and load-testing cycles.
- Evaluate test results, prepare quality reports, increase test coverage, and implement improved testing approaches.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Java, SQL, REST, SOAP, and HTTP.
- Experience with Playwright, API testing, Docker, and automated testing tools such as JUnit and Jupiter.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and test case management systems such as TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD, pipelines, and infrastructure as code such as Bicep.
- Understanding of distributed systems, system interoperability, software testing types, and system requirements collection.
- Must be located in Portugal for remote work eligibility.
Nice to have
- Kotlin programming experience.
- Knowledge of relational databases and Kubernetes.
- Experience with load testing, large data volumes, and data quality testing.
- Deep understanding of software lifecycle and testing processes.
