What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend content update systems using Perl/Python/C++ and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Analyse complex datasets and implement data transformation best practices to ensure efficiency, reliability, and quality of data movement.
• Make strong technical contributions to projects with a focus on new enhancements, stability, and performance.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and stakeholders’ meetings.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and suggest process improvements.

Requirements

• Graduate engineer or having 1+ years of hands-on experience in software development with a focus on data pipelines and web services.
• Familiarity with modern development workflows, including version control (Git).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of Perl, Python and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.

Nice to have

• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to articulate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audience.
• Ability to tune database queries and workloads for improving performance and scale will be highly desired.
• Ability to onboard and apply internal systems and processes for developing and deploying robust software​ solutions.
