What you will do

• Build, enhance, and maintain infrastructure frameworks and tools for scalable and efficient systems, focusing on automation and performance.
• Manage large-scale Elasticsearch clusters, optimizing index creation, population, repair, and reindex processes for billions of records.
• Ensure site availability and performance by establishing observability, monitoring, diagnosing incidents, and implementing security measures.
• Drive initiatives to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability of Elasticsearch, incorporating latest technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents, participating in root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
• Collaborate with various teams and contribute to open-source projects to drive shared understanding and optimize infrastructure performance.

Requirements

• 6+ years technical experience in infrastructure domains (e.g., container orchestration, platform, database, software, network engineering, systems administration).
• 1+ year technical leadership experience.
• 6+ years experience building, deploying, and maintaining Elasticsearch at scale.
• 3+ years experience using general purpose programming languages (e.g., Go, Ruby, or Rust).
• English: B2 required.

Nice to have

• 6+ years experience with Lucene/Apache based search engines (Elasticsearch, Opensearch, Solr).
• 6+ years experience with Search Relevance, Scoring, and building Search Experiences.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, configuration management (Terraform, Puppet, Ansible).
• 3+ years experience in scripting languages (Bash, Python).
