What you will do

• Design and deliver backend features using Kotlin/Java services with REST and gRPC APIs
• Build and operate real-time ad delivery pipelines including ranking, auctions, bidding, and budget enforcement
• Integrate backend services with feature stores and ML model inference services for real-time decisioning
• Collaborate with product, ML, data science, and platform teams to shape technical solutions
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Debug and resolve complex production issues and participate in on-call rotations

Requirements

• Must be located in the United States
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience with Java, Kotlin, and JVM-based frameworks
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems, real-time streaming/event-driven architectures, and cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• Strong skills in software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and production system troubleshooting

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-powered applications, LLMs, RAG pipelines, or agentic AI systems
• Familiarity with search and retrieval systems, vector databases, and semantic search
• Background in advertising systems, marketplaces, e-commerce, or travel platforms
