Salary: $206,700 - $330,300 annually (specific to certain US states)

What you will do

• Lead and grow an engineering team (~8 engineers) building backend services for lead ingestion, processing, and routing.
• Modernize mission-critical platforms by replacing legacy systems with reliable, observable workflows.
• Design end-to-end lead journeys in partnership with product, operations, and analytics teams.
• Shape and execute reliability and observability strategies including metrics, dashboards, and alerts.
• Use data and AI insights to improve lead routing and quality.
• Drive operational excellence including on-call practices, incident response, and reducing toil.

Requirements

• Must have 8+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years managing engineering teams.
• Experience leading backend or platform services teams with direct people leadership.
• Deep expertise in system design, scalability, reliability, and observability.
• Strong operational excellence skills including on-call management and incident resolution.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
• Ability to make high-judgment decisions balancing short-term and long-term goals.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven or workflow-orchestrated systems and multiple service integrations.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog, Splunk, metrics, logs, and tracing.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and building secure, compliant systems.
• Background in marketplaces, lead routing, or CRM systems with business impact focus.
