Salary: $170,000 - $190,000 per year plus performance bonus and equity

What you will do

• Lead design and implementation of scalable ML/AI systems focusing on large language models, vector databases, and retrieval-based architectures
• Integrate foundation models from providers like OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, and Anthropic for prototyping and production
• Adapt and optimize LLMs for domain-specific enterprise applications
• Build and maintain AI experimentation, deployment, and monitoring infrastructure
• Improve model performance focusing on latency, cost, and reliability
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the AI engineering team
• Collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable ML solutions

Requirements

• Must have 6+ years experience in ML or AI systems, including LLMs and conversational AI
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Experience with speech-to-text and text-to-speech system integration
• Strong understanding of latency-sensitive system design and distributed architectures
• Experience deploying and scaling AI systems on AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD
• Strong communication skills to align engineering, product, and executive stakeholders

Nice to have

• Experience with speech model fine-tuning and acoustic/language model optimization
• Hands-on experience with real-time or streaming audio systems (WebRTC, gRPC streaming)
• Experience optimizing TTS prosody and voice customization
• Background in MLOps, experimentation platforms, or evaluation frameworks for speech systems
• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Speech Processing, or related field
