Location: Based in our Palermo office, with a mandatory in-office presence four days per week.

What you will do

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or IFRS.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies.
• Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights for strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS.
• Experience managing the month-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.

Nice to have

• CPA (or equivalent professional certification).
• Experience in fintech, crypto, or financial services industries preferred.
• Experience with multinational entities and multi-currency accounting.
• Internal controls and audit management experience.
