What you will do

• Own and deliver key backend components of a new data-driven product including platforms, APIs, and data pipelines
• Collaborate with product and domain experts to incorporate customer feedback into solutions
• Design and evolve scalable systems for high-volume streaming data ingestion and processing
• Contribute to architecture and design decisions across the team
• Lead development of complex features from prototyping to production rollout
• Mentor and support other engineers to raise the technical bar

Requirements

• Must be located in the United States
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years building and operating production software systems
• Strong experience with distributed systems and data-intensive streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink, Spark, Druid)
• Experience with backend services, APIs, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Linux, Docker, Kubernetes
• Clear communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment

Nice to have

• Experience building security-focused products or platforms
• Familiarity with security frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK
• Experience with rule engines, event processing, alerting workflows, enrichment pipelines
• Exposure to AI-driven capabilities such as LLMs and intelligent automation
• Experience with JavaScript and Node.js
