What you will do

• Research and advise on privacy developments and data protection laws impacting global technology companies.
• Develop policies, processes, and playbooks for global privacy and data protection compliance.
• Interact with engineers and product subject matter experts on legal privacy and infrastructure topics.
• Contribute to blogs, white papers, and marketing materials on hirify.global’s privacy posture.
• Advise on privacy aspects of marketing strategy, including analysis under consumer protection laws.
• Support legal privacy counsel in coordinating hirify.global’s response to privacy and infrastructure incidents.

Requirements

• Ability to commit to a minimum 12-week summer internship.
• Must be in the office 3-5 days a week in the Washington D.C. office.
• Basic understanding of major global and regional privacy laws, such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Familiarity with fundamental concepts like Privacy by Design, Data Minimization, and lawful bases for processing personal data.
• Ability to efficiently use legal databases and translate complex information to digestible language.
• Experience working in IT environments and applying legal requirements to technical systems and products.

• Understanding how to use AI legal research tools effectively and leverage them.
• Strong organizational, communication skills (written and verbal), problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
