Location: Remote (US). Candidates in Europe are also considered if they can overlap with EST.

What you will do

• Improve EVM compatibility and developer experience by integrating ecosystem learnings.
• Implement and enhance Java-based smart contract services for transaction processing.
• Design, develop, and maintain public Web3 APIs using TypeScript, SQL, REST, GraphQL, and Web Sockets.
• Write efficient, reusable, and scalable code for system optimization.
• Explore and unblock Web3 tool and DApp integration using Solidity and EVM transaction lifecycle knowledge.
• Innovate by evaluating and implementing new development technologies.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience in distributed open-source applications.
• Deep knowledge of the blockchain ecosystem, especially the EVM, ERC20s, and ERC721s.
• Experience with smart-contract development (Solidity/Vyper) and frameworks like Foundry, Hardhat, Web3.js / Ethers.js.
• Expertise in Java and JS/TS programming languages.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and Wallet integrations (MetaMask, WalletConnect).
• Familiarity with test-driven development and continuous integration tools.
• Experience with Web3 tools for indexing and transaction management (e.g., TheGraph).
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have

• Deep knowledge of Java VM and Node.js VM (5+ years each).
• Strong grasp of Computer Science fundamentals, including concurrency and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with security principles, cryptographic tools, and high-performance architectural systems.
