What you will do
- Increase reliability and availability of cloud infrastructure and reduce incidents through automation and proactive engineering.
- Strengthen scalability and improve cloud efficiency by driving optimization best practices across AWS and Azure environments.
- Resolve complex system challenges across infrastructure, networking, applications, and distributed systems.
- Design, build, and optimize tooling, automation, and scalable infrastructure patterns.
- Collaborate with Global SRE, Architecture, Platform, and Domain Engineering teams to influence infrastructure design.
- Participate in on-call duties to maintain cloud infrastructure availability and mentor peers on reliability-first thinking.
Requirements
- Strong cloud engineering skills in AWS and/or Azure, with hands-on experience supporting production systems running on Kubernetes at scale.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Crossplane, Ansible) for operating distributed systems.
- Expertise in automation using Python, Go, or Bash, including building and improving CI/CD pipelines and autoscaling strategies.
- Deep understanding of observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, SIEM) and incident management.
- Knowledge of security (secret management like Vault, AWS SSM) and networking best practices.
- Strong analytical thinking for troubleshooting complex issues and comfortable with on-call support rotation.
