What you will do
- Lead one of the UK Division’s Trading teams, becoming a subject matter expert in OTC products like CFDs, Spread Bets, Futures, Options, and FX.
- Own, extend, and support critical real-time dealing platform applications.
- Partner with a Product Manager to deliver business and technical enhancements.
- Champion and deliver high-quality applications, lowering support costs and proactively managing tech debt.
- Lead by example as a hands-on engineer and act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders.
- Guide and support other engineering leads on technical & operational risks and engineering quality.
Requirements
- Strong engineering mindset and deep experience as a hands-on Java engineer.
- Keen interest in ongoing business and technical learning, with a deep understanding of IG's trading business.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, able to assess risks and articulate priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with great attention to detail.
- Track record of delivery and operational efficiency improvements.
- Must work in a hybrid model (3 days in office) in Kraków, Poland.
