Backend Engineering Tech Lead (Igaming): Leading the design, POCs, and development of complex tasks within the Sportsbook B2B & Integrations Value stream with an accent on ensuring high-quality delivery and technical consistency across teams. Focus on driving technical excellence initiatives, identifying technical improvements, and mentoring engineers.

Location: Hybrid (Budapest, Hungary). Must work from the office 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday).

What you will do

• Participate in design, POCs, and development of complex tasks within the Sportsbook B2B & Integrations Value stream.
• Work closely with architects to ensure architecture direction is communicated, aligned, and implemented within teams.
• Align with other tech leads to ensure technical consistency and drive technical excellence initiatives.
• Identify and validate technical improvements, helping product managers prioritize them.
• Participate in development, testing, code reviews, bug fixing, implementing new features, and improving existing functionality.
• Participate in technical interviews, coaching & mentoring engineers.

Requirements

• Strong technical background with an understanding of non-functional requirements.
• Expertise with designing and implementing distributed microservices.
• Deep understanding of the latest C# and .NET framework/core.
• Experience deploying scalable back-end solutions using AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Expertise with distributed systems and high-speed database technologies, including SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
• Familiarity with messaging systems, message queues, and event-driven architecture.
