Senior Software Engineer - C++ (SMART Officiating)

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (C++): Designing and implementing components for SMART Officiating systems that power critical moments in sport, with an accent on video capture, synchronised output, and real-time performance. Focus on optimizing multithreaded C++ code, interfacing with video hardware, and enhancing system reliability in high-pressure environments.

Location: Hybrid, minimum 2 days a week in the Budapest office, Hungary.

Salary: HUF 1,500,000–HUF 2,200,000 per month.

What you will do

• Collaborate on designing and implementing components for SMART Officiating systems.
• Work on hardware interfacing, network protocols, and audio/video processing.
• Build efficient, robust multithreaded C++ code.
• Participate in field testing and support deployments at live sporting events.
• Partner with product teams and customers to deliver solutions.
• Lead technical discussions and mentor junior/mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• Proficiency in modern C++ (up to C++20).
• Experience writing multithreaded, performance-optimised code.
• Familiarity with Git, Visual Studio, and debugging.
• Knowledge of Qt, FFmpeg, OpenGL, or audio processing tools.
• Work from the Budapest office minimum 2 days a week.

• Experience with AWS.
