What you will do

• Drive technical discussions and implementations to generate new business and expand existing business.
• Qualify prospect and customer use cases, discover technical requirements, and lead demonstrations.
• Advise customers on technical best practices and strategic guidance on internet security and performance.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support teams to provide solutions for customer needs.
• Attend meetings with prospects or customers, conferences, and industry events (20-30% travel required).

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with a scripting language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Bash, Lua, Go).
• Expertise in internet technologies: OSI Model layers 1-7, BGP, GRE, TCP/UDP, DNS, HTTP(S), SSL / TLS.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust Framework and SASE related concepts.
• 12 years plus of experience in a customer-facing sales or consulting role.
• Technical curiosity and passion to stay up to date with industry trends.
• A focus on learning, teaching, collaboration, mentorship, and growth.
• Project management, relationship building, and EQ skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with web application development.
• Understanding of firewall roles and differences between L3, L4, and L7 firewalls.
• Familiarity with command-line interfaces, RESTful APIs, and HTTP request/response analysis.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements such a PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC-2.
• An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
