What you will do

• Strategically drive hirify.global’s global privacy and data protection program in partnership with cross-functional teams.
• Own and scale all global privacy compliance tooling and records, conducting data mapping, vendor reviews, and training.
• Manage global privacy and data security regulatory compliance programs for all products throughout their lifecycle.
• Provide strategic advice directly to business teams on emerging privacy and data security laws and their business impact.
• Advise Product, Engineering, InfoSec, and other teams on legal and regulatory issues related to game development and data collection and use.
• Review products, features, in-game events, and marketing to provide practical advice and manage legal and regulatory risk.

Requirements

• Minimum 12+ years of combined relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department, preferably within gaming or technology.
• A member in good standing of the California Bar or another bar association with the ability to register as in-house counsel in California.
• Significant experience advising on legal and regulatory considerations in the video game industry.
• Strong focus on privacy and data protection frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, Privacy Shield).
• Experience working with global teams cross-functionally and across time zones.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
