Sr. Director, Public Policy - Americas (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Sr. Director, Public Policy - Americas (Cybersecurity): Leading the company's policy work across the Americas, engaging with U.S. Federal, Congressional, State, Local, Canadian, and LATAM government entities. Focus on developing and executing strategies to advance the company's policy and business objectives, managing relationships with stakeholders, and providing support to internal teams.

Location: Must be based in DC/MD/VA area. Anticipate office time/in-person meetings multiple days per week and at least 15% travel requirements.

Salary: $190,000 - $290,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package.

What you will do

• Develop and execute strategies to advance company policy and business objectives across the Americas.
• Maintain strong, professional relationships with government entities, partner organizations, and external stakeholders throughout the Americas region.
• Manage lobbying efforts in the region and represent the company in industry associations.
• Facilitate feedback from internal subject matter experts on time-sensitive projects and manage longer-term project delivery.
• Partner with and advise internal Legal, Marketing, Technology Strategy, and Public Sector/regional Sales teams.
• Assist with other U.S. and international policy-related opportunities and initiatives, as appropriate.

Requirements

• Minimum 15+ years experience, including 5+ years of management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in cybersecurity or technology policy or operations at relevant Government agencies.
• Proven track record of developing or implementing cybersecurity policies.
• Outstanding writing skills, professionalism, and an aptitude for briefing and public speaking.
• Must be able to successfully work across federated teams and across cultures and time zones.

Nice to have

• Applicable foreign language proficiency (French/Spanish).
• Technical cybersecurity skills.
• Senior private sector cybersecurity vendor experience.
• Expertise in privacy, competition, trade, and consumer protection issues.
• Formal legal training/experience.
