Product Owner (Frontend Design System): Taking ownership of the Frontend Design System within Nexa, ensuring a structured and reusable collection of design standards and implementation components to build consistent, accessible, and scalable user interfaces. Focus on accelerating developer experience, increasing predictability, and strengthening UX consistency.

Location: Must be located in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the EU and have the legal right to work in the Netherlands.

Salary: Gross monthly salary between EUR 5,876 and EUR 8,395.

What you will do

• Define and lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the frontend design system.
• Own and prioritize the backlog of components, patterns, documentation, and tooling to maximize value.
• Work closely with UX, front end, platform, and brand teams to ensure alignment and technical feasibility.
• Establish governance that protects consistency, accessibility, and overall quality at scale.
• Drive adoption by promoting best practices, supporting teams, and solving real product needs.
• Ensure the design system is clear, discoverable, and easy to maintain.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as a Product Owner, preferably in enterprise scale environments.
• Strong product vision with a clear focus on value, outcomes, and user impact.
• Proven ability to set priorities and balance long term strategy with short term delivery.
• Experience owning or scaling frontend design systems, component libraries, or UI frameworks.
• Ability to translate between engineering needs, design and UX.
• Solid understanding of frontend technologies, UX principles and accessibility.
• Must be located in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the EU and have the legal right to work in the Netherlands. We are unable to consider candidates requiring relocation from another country.
