Maintenance Expert

Nordgold is looking for an Maintenance Expert for our mine. Maintenance Expert will be responsible for the quality development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Gold Recovery Plant (GRP)
This role demands extensive expertise in plant maintenance, equipment knowledge, and gold extraction processes.

Key responsibilities:
• Analytical Evaluation: Develop and implement scoring models for evaluating plant maintenance operations, establish clear evaluation criteria, and assess plant systems and equipment performance to ensure optimal maintenance and uptime.
• SOP Development: Independently create and refine both paper and video SOPs for plant maintenance and equipment operations, following established templates. Collaborate with plant specialists and the plant director for review and approval of all SOPs.
• Maintenance Excellence and Kaizen Participation: Act as a maintenance expert within Kaizen teams, analyzing current plant maintenance practices and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• SOP Training: Lead training sessions for maintenance staff, Nordgold specialists, and contractor personnel on maintenance SOPs, ensuring a comprehensive understanding and adherence to maintenance standards.
• Quality Control and Mentoring: Oversee the quality control process of developed maintenance SOPs by Nordgold specialists and contractors, offering mentoring assistance to trainers as part of the three-step training methodology.


Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management in mining and processing plants, with a focus on plant equipment, systems, and machinery.
• Expertise in maintaining crushing and milling equipment, CIP/CIL systems, and sampling equipment.
• Proven experience in training, mentoring, and developing maintenance personnel.
