Forward Deployed Engineer (Generative AI): Collaborating closely with strategic partners to create Generative AI Agents and plugins for government and commercial teams with an accent on prompt engineering, robust AI frameworks, and secure coding practices. Focus on delivering innovative full-stack solutions, automating tasks and processes, and providing technical leadership from concept through deployment.

Location: Hybrid in Washington, DC. Must work from the customer location on an as-needed basis, with a willingness to travel to meet customer objectives.

What you will do

• Conduct research to understand customer business processes and identify areas where Ask Sage can add value, providing in-depth training.
• Assist customers with Generative AI issues, offering hands-on support from concept through deployment.
• Architect, develop, and maintain Generative AI Agents and plugins using Python and related frameworks.
• Embed with customers to provide technical leadership and drive success from initial concept to production.
• Build innovative Generative AI features and full-stack solutions to automate customer tasks and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Generative AI solutions into existing systems.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant software engineering experience, including Python.
• At least 1 year of practical experience leveraging Generative AI to build automation and agents.
• Strong prompt engineering skills and experience with Generative AI frameworks.
• Expertise in delivering secure solutions on leading cloud infrastructures.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Strong project management skills to own project execution from start to finish.

Nice to have

• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of government compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST AI RMF, CMMC 2.0).
