Location: Hybrid in Boston, MA. Expect teams to come together in our state-of-the-art office on two core days, typically Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

Salary: $245,000 to $300,000

What you will do

• Define the long-term vision and near-term roadmap for acquisition and retention data science.
• Establish Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) as the primary optimization currency across marketing, lifecycle, and product decisions.
• Lead development of real-time and event-driven CLV models, churn and lifecycle propensity models, and customer- and context-aware decisioning frameworks.
• Build proprietary customer and product signals and oversee real-time scoring pipelines and integration with marketing, product, and data platforms.
• Consolidate and lead a team of data scientists focused on acquisition and retention, emphasizing ownership, speed, and measurable impact.
• Partner closely with Analytics, Data Engineering, Marketing, Ecommerce, Product, and Technology leaders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data science, applied machine learning, or decision science, including senior leadership roles.
• Demonstrated success delivering business-critical ML systems with direct revenue or CLV impact.
• Deep expertise in customer modeling, retention analytics, and growth optimization.
• Strong experience operationalizing models into production environments.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to senior business leaders.

• Experience building personalization or recommendation systems at scale.
• Familiarity with advanced optimization approaches beyond traditional experimentation.
• Background in growth, marketing science, or lifecycle management.
• Experience leading centralized data science teams in complex, cross-functional organizations.
