What you will do
- Devise, evolve, and maintain the architecture of core ICT infrastructure services, including storage, virtualisation, and operating systems.
- Devise, evolve, and maintain the baseline network and communications architecture, including telephony, WAN, and connectivity services.
- Define and evolve the ICT monitoring, observability, and alerting architecture for standardised visibility and operational resilience.
- Drive the evaluation and selection of technical products required for ICT infrastructure implementation.
- Produce, maintain, and expand baseline architecture documentation, including solution roadmaps aligned with business strategy.
- Assess business cases, project proposals, and deliverables for impact on and compliance with ICT infrastructure architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of overall experience.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in an ICT Infrastructure/Solution Architecture role.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in at least three of the following areas: core ICT infrastructure architecture, network/communications architecture, ICT monitoring/observability/alerting architecture, IT service management platforms, or ICT infrastructure standards definition/governance.
- Good knowledge of datacentre and ICT infrastructure architectures, including compute platforms, server virtualisation, containerisation, operating systems, enterprise storage, and backup/restore solutions.
- Good knowledge of network and communications architectures, including LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, public networks, and software-defined approaches.
- Good knowledge of enterprise storage technologies and standards.
- Good knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity architectures, including resilience and high availability principles.
Nice to have
- Good knowledge of enterprise architecture modelling methods, such as ArchiMate.
- Good knowledge of IT service management concepts and platforms, including ITSM processes and service portals.
- Good knowledge of advanced operational tooling and automation, including firewalls, SIEM/SOC, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Good knowledge of cloud computing platforms and architectures, including Azure and AWS.
