Head of Product Design (AI, Design Systems): Guiding the Design Foundations team to shape how design, engineering, and product scale across a complex, distributed organization with an accent on defining future foundations to enable faster team movement and cohesive, high-quality experiences. Location: Must be based in and legally eligible to work in Spain. Remote work within Spain is possible; remote work from outside Spain is not possible.

What you will do

• Define and evolve the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Nexus as a shared UX infrastructure, treating the design system as an internal product.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of designers focused on building and evolving Nexus, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
• Establish governance models, contribution workflows, and decision-making frameworks for scalable design foundations.
• Partner closely with engineering leadership to align on architecture, tooling, and delivery workflows, ensuring seamless integration into development pipelines.
• Engage designers, engineers, and product teams to drive organizational alignment and adoption of Nexus.
• Enable faster product development and improve design quality through reusable foundations.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and scaling design platforms or design systems in complex organizations.
• Strong experience supporting multiple brands, products, or distributed teams with a governance mindset.
• Deep collaboration with engineering teams on platform initiatives and understanding of technical implementation.
• Proven ability to align diverse stakeholders and drive organizational change at scale.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and defining structure where none exists.
• Pragmatic systems thinking, balancing consistency with flexibility and optimizing for adoption and velocity.
