Senior Cloud Security Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Cloud Security Engineer (Cybersecurity): Designing, building, and maintaining secure cloud foundations across Azure, AWS, and GCP with an accent on preventative security, secure-by-default cloud architecture, and building scalable security foundations. Focus on owning and evolving CSPM, engineering cloud network security controls, and contributing to FedRAMP readiness.

Location: Remote from Phoenix, USA, with a hybrid work model for those within 45 miles of an office.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain secure cloud foundations across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Own and evolve Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) capabilities.
• Engineer and maintain cloud network security controls, including firewalls, WAFs, and segmentation.
• Define and enforce security best practices for Kubernetes environments (AKS/EKS).
• Partner with engineering teams for security architecture reviews and guidance.
• Contribute to FedRAMP and regulated environment readiness.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in cloud security, security engineering, or cloud platform engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience securing cloud-native environments (Azure preferred).
• Proven experience with cloud network security and identity and access management in cloud environments.
• Experience contributing to or supporting compliance programs (FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST).
• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code skills (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation).
• Ability to script or automate using Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.
