Senior Cloud Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Senior Cloud Security Engineer (Cybersecurity): Designing, building, and maintaining secure cloud foundations and enforcing security best practices across Azure, AWS, and GCP with an accent on preventative security, secure-by-default architecture, and automated remediation. Focus on securing Kubernetes environments, partnering with engineering teams for architecture reviews, and contributing to FedRAMP readiness.

Location: Hybrid in Dallas, TX, USA. Candidates residing within 45 miles of an office, or where the job description specifies a required location, will follow a hybrid work model, including working onsite some days per week and remotely the remaining days.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain secure cloud foundations across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Own and evolve Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) capabilities, including automated remediation.
• Engineer and maintain cloud network security controls, including WAF configurations and secure ingress/egress patterns.
• Define and enforce security best practices for Kubernetes environments (AKS/EKS).
• Partner with engineering teams to perform security architecture reviews and provide guidance.
• Contribute to FedRAMP and regulated environment readiness, including control implementation and evidence automation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in cloud security, security engineering, or cloud platform engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience securing cloud-native environments (Azure preferred).
• Proven experience with cloud network security, firewalls, WAFs, and network segmentation.
• Solid experience with identity and access management in cloud environments (RBAC, workload identity).
• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code skills (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation).
• Ability to script or automate using Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.
