What you will do
- Accountable for the architecture and governance of cloud platforms, ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade cloud solutions, including infrastructure as code, automation, and orchestration.
- Own the lifecycle management of cloud services, from planning and deployment to optimisation and cost control.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers, fostering best practices and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust, scalable cloud architectures.
- Drive incident resolution and root cause analysis for complex cloud-related issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cloud architecture and engineering across major platforms (AWS preferred, plus Azure and GCP).
- Deep knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
- Strong proficiency in automation and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
- Solid CI/CD pipeline experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor team members.
- Expertise in monitoring, performance tuning, and cost optimisation for cloud services.
- Eligibility for UK Security Clearance at the required level is essential for this role.
Nice to have
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and cloud-native security tools.
