DevSecOps Engineer

TL;DR

DevSecOps Engineer: Uplifting and standardising security posture across a large-scale public-sector digital screening programme with an accent on embedding security into CI/CD, IaC, and operational processes. Focus on creating a coherent, consistent, and modern cybersecurity baseline and automating controls across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure).

Location: Hybrid (UK), must have the right to work in the UK and be eligible for SC Clearance.

What you will do

• Implement and embed security controls throughout CI/CD pipelines.
• Enhance and maintain IaC for consistent and secure infrastructure deployments across AWS and Azure.
• Integrate automated security scanning and secrets management into the delivery workflow.
• Design, implement, and maintain consistent security patterns across multi-cloud services.
• Deliver security improvements by refining CI/CD and IaC repositories.
• Contribute to disaster recovery strategy uplift, defining runbooks and automated processes.

Requirements

• Strong background in DevSecOps principles, including shift-left security and cloud-native security engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud environments.
• Experience designing secure and scalable architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
• Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, ARM, Bicep, and CloudFormation.
• Experience integrating security tools (SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, container scanning) into CI/CD.
• Familiarity with container orchestration and security (Kubernetes/AKS/EKS).
• Must be eligible for SC Clearance.

• Experience contributing to or maintaining shared libraries or open-source tooling.
• Knowledge of audit, compliance, and security frameworks.
• Experience in large public-sector or regulated environments.
