Internal Audit Intern (Summer 2026)

TL;DR

Internal Audit Intern: Executing the full lifecycle of audit projects with a data-driven approach, applying analysis, code development, and visualization. Focus on challenging existing processes, proposing new audit approaches, and delivering insights to the business using AI/ML.

Location: In-Office, Austin, TX. Must be able to work in the office 3-5 days a week in Austin, TX.

What you will do

• Execute the full lifecycle of audit projects applying a data-driven approach, including planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, code development, data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
• Challenge existing processes and propose new audit and analytics approaches.
• Help design testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives using a data-driven approach.
• Gain understanding of target areas including operations, systems, data, and risk.
• Prepare audit workpapers and reports under direct supervision.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders to understand pain points and enhance programs, processes, and controls.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree or program in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Expected graduation date between 12/2026 - 12/2027.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
• Ability to commit to a minimum 12-week summer internship.
• Ability to work in office 3-5 days a week in Austin, TX.
