Location: Remote from the US or Canada

Compensation: $200,000 - $400,000 + Bonus

hirify.global is seeking a knowledgeable Platform Engineer to work on their low latency Linux estate for trading.

What you will do

• Design and support ultra low latency Linux environments within trading.
• Build, design, and architect automated solutions for scalable deployment across private and public cloud infrastructure.
• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability across the Linux estate.
• Manage and optimize Linux systems, including configuration management with Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
• Support container environments like Kubernetes, Docker, or Podman.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Program using Python, Ruby, Rust, or Go.

Requirements

• Strong Linux experience.
• Experience with configuration management and CI/CD automation.
• Experience with one or more of Python, Ruby, Rust, or Go.
• Experience within ultra low latency environments.
• Understanding of kernel tuning and kernel bypass techniques.
• Experience with low latency networking, including Solarflare.
• English: B2 required
• Must be based in the US or Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Pulumi, or Bicep.
• AWS or GCP cloud experience.
• Disaster Recovery knowledge.
• Experience with Block or Blob Storage.
• High Performance Computing (HPC) experience.
• FPGA exposure.
