What you will do

• Lead and shape the culture, technical strategy, and therapeutic impact of AI at Lila.
• Be a founding architect of the vision to redefine medicine using AI and automation.
• Drive platform-wide AI strategies focused on foundation models for -omics, perturbation data, and spatial profiling.
• Translate high-dimensional ML concepts for biological scientists and present strategic visions to executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• PhD with a focus on computation (Computational Biology, Computer Science, or AI-driven drug discovery).
• A portfolio of peer-reviewed publications or patents, including first-author contributions in premier venues (ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, Nature Methods, Nature Biotechnology, Nature, Science, or Cell).
• Demonstrated experience building and leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex research portfolios in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication skills.
