MI Analyst (Insurance)

TL;DR

MI Analyst (Insurance): Monitoring business performance and developing data-driven reports for the pricing and underwriting team with an accent on data accuracy, quality, and new analysis methods. Focus on evaluating existing reports, improving communication, and providing ad hoc MI.

Location: Liverpool City Centre, Hybrid working available. Must have at least one year remaining on a UK Graduate or Post-Study Work visa. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: up to £35,000 depending on experience

What you will do

• Mentor new team members and support their insurance knowledge development.
• Monitor business performance and report on identified risks or opportunities.
• Design and produce regular reporting and analysis for management understanding.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of data and analysis.
• Evaluate existing reports and develop new methods for analysis and communication.
• Provide ad hoc MI in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Natural desire to act at pace, be innovative, while setting high standards.
• Extensive SQL experience.
• Knowledge of Power BI, DAX, and Power Query.
• Strong Excel skills and advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with data manipulation and analysis using SQL and Power BI.
• High-level of accuracy, attention to detail, and solid understanding of data visualization techniques.
