TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Communications): Designing, developing, deploying, and operating software solutions at scale for hirify.global's communications platform with an accent on building highly scalable and distributed services. Focus on building robust internal and public REST APIs and event-based systems, ensuring high availability, throughput, latency, and data integrity for next-generation communication channels.

Location: Remote, but not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA.

Salary: $137,520–$171,900

What you will do

  • Build highly scalable and distributed services.
  • Develop internal and public REST APIs and event-based systems.
  • Collaborate with a geographically distributed team on product ideas.
  • Continuously improve services powering hirify.global’s top products.
  • Take ownership of the product, including SLA, on-call, and incident resolution.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of software development experience in an object-oriented language such as Java, Go, or C#.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and integrating with REST APIs.
  • Experience building and supporting mission-critical, performant customer-facing systems.
  • Experience working with AWS or other cloud provider services.
  • Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as MySQL or DynamoDB.
  • Understanding and experience with asynchronous architectures and technologies like Kafka or SQS.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience integrating telemetry and observability tools to monitor and maintain system health and performance.
