What you will do

• Design and develop backend services, APIs, and portal systems for high-availability payment processing platforms.
• Translate merchant and partner needs into high-quality, scalable Java-based solutions and RESTful APIs.
• Improve development processes through automation, simplification, and applied engineering experience.
• Collaborate to ensure technically sound, observable, and testable deliverables from requirements to production.
• Contribute to estimation, planning, risk management, and support deployment.
• Take ownership beyond assigned tasks, adjusting priorities and demonstrating strong team collaboration.

Requirements

• 3–5 years’ experience in a Software Engineering role.
• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Strong Java backend development experience with Spring Boot or J2EE and Spring Core.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, schema design, complex queries, and performance optimisation.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable RESTful APIs for high-availability, high-concurrency systems.
• Strong understanding of Design Patterns, Refactoring, and Object-Oriented Design principles.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development methodologies including BDD.
• Familiarity with AI-driven development tools.
