Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 CAD

What you will do

• Provide network security expertise to product and architecture teams for segmentation, zoning, and access controls.
• Support and advance network security capabilities including firewall, UTM, NAC, DNS Firewall, NDR, DDoS/CDN, and WAF.
• Analyze threat intelligence to design, develop, deploy, and test detection and protection use cases.
• Perform infrastructure threat modeling on new systems, products, and features.
• Develop and implement hardening and security configuration baselines for network security capabilities.
• Support the analysis of network traffic and packet captures for threat hunting and incident response.
• Develop and report on actionable KPIs and KRIs against network security policies and standards.

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of experience in Network Security or related fields.
• Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, Programming/Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Eligibility to work for hirify.global in Canada in a Full Time Capacity.
• Expertise in networking and network security, including firewalls, UTMs, DDoS/CDN, NDR, and DNS Firewall.
• Strong understanding of security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities, with experience in threat modelling and risk analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of authentication, authorization, vulnerability exploitation, and remediation.
• Knowledge of security industry standards and best practices such as OWASP, ISO 27001/2, NIST.
• Cybersecurity certificates such as CISSP, CSSLP, or OSCP.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
