Junior Java Developer (Fintech): Designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based microservices supporting credit risk and credit scoring products with an accent on REST and SOAP API design and building robust calculation engines. Location: Hybrid from Gdynia, Gdańsk, Warsaw, or Łódź (3 days per week from the office)

Salary: 400–600 PLN/day on B2B

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices supporting credit risk, recommendation, and credit scoring products.
• Design and develop REST and SOAP APIs for internal and external integrations.
• Build robust calculation engines compliant with current credit scoring and recommendation regulations.
• Develop and maintain integrations with external credit authorities.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of commercial experience in Java development.
• Strong proficiency in Java 21+ and related frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JSON, XML).
• Strong experience in REST and SOAP API design and development.
• Good understanding of unit, component, and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git), build tools (Maven), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket).
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Basic knowledge of SQL.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Kafka and Kubernetes.
• Experience in the banking or financial sector.
