Location: Hybrid in Cracow, Poland. Most of the team is based in the UK.

What you will do

• Build and maintain robust, secure, and maintainable software systems end-to-end.
• Develop loosely coupled, layered software components.
• Embrace Clean Code and SOLID principles in your development.
• Participate in technical discussions, dailies, planning meetings, and backlog grooming.
• Support junior developers through mentoring and lead by example.
• Handle developments, support, and production requests with professionalism and accountability.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of developer experience with Java, Spring Boot or Micronaut, and ORMs (e.g., JPA/Hibernate).
• Experience with relational databases like MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Proficiency with Git, REST APIs, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks (JUnit).
• Strong understanding of software design principles (SOLID, DRY, Clean Code).
• Experience in agile environments and working with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira).
• English: B2+ required.

Nice to have

• Experience in a Retail environment or EPOS.
• Experience with front-end technologies like React, Angular, or TypeScript.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and scalability principles.
• Exposure to mutation testing and code coverage tools.
