What you will do

• Build and maintain Java services (Spring Boot) handling real-time trading operations and significant data throughput.
• Develop event-driven systems using Kafka to ensure trading platforms remain responsive.
• Develop full-stack skills, including writing code, building CI/CD pipelines, and deploying to AWS.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Frontend teams to deliver features that drive business growth.
• Implement comprehensive observability through monitoring, alerting, and tracing.
• Drive technical excellence in performance, scalability, and security for fintech solutions.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
• Contribute to technical discussions and code reviews, raising the bar for the team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience with Java as your primary language.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (ideally Kafka, or AWS SNS/SQS).
• Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerized applications (Kubernetes/EKS).
• Good understanding of relational databases, including SQL queries and indexing strategies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools is expected.
• Strong English-language communication skills and the ability to work effectively in globally distributed, cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations as you grow.
• Must be based in Kraków, Poland, for a hybrid working model (3 days onsite).
