What you will do
- Define and drive the API management strategy, establishing governance, versioning, and security standards.
- Lead the design and development of scalable and high-quality core .NET backend services and APIs.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub.
- Champion observability, monitoring, and alerting using Dynatrace.
- Coach and mentor engineers, fostering a collaborative team culture.
- Manage team performance, providing constructive feedback and career guidance.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure strongly preferred) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep, or similar).
- Proven track record leading engineering teams focused on backend development and platform engineering.
- Strong backend development background with .NET/C#, including API design and microservices architecture.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes (AKS preferred), CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling, and automation.
- Excellent communicator who can engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Dynatrace, Snyk, and Rootly.
- Familiarity with API gateway technologies (e.g., Azure API Management or similar).
- Background in establishing and measuring SLOs/SLIs and running incident response processes.
- Hands-on experience with Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs).
