What you will do

• Support the development and improvement of an internal application used by consultants for client engagements.
• Build and maintain AI pipelines that translate strategic priorities into structured insights and business solutions.
• Design and implement front-end interfaces (React/TypeScript) and responsive UIs for ML/AI outputs.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs (Node.js/Express, Python/Flask or FastAPI) for data orchestration and access.
• Integrate ML/GenAI prototypes into application stacks and ensure secure data handling.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code quality tooling.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript and Python; experience building web UIs (React) and backend services.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and web application fundamentals.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases and writing efficient queries.
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub workflows for collaborative software development.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for this hybrid role in Chicago.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript + React ecosystem and CSS frameworks.
• Familiarity with Azure (App Services, Functions, AKS).
• Exposure to MLOps concepts, model serving, and Azure ML or SageMaker.
• Knowledge of security, data privacy best practices, and GDPR/ethical considerations.
• Experience with serverless architectures, microservices, or Kubernetes.
