What you will do

Collaborate with analytics and finance teams to enable trusted metrics and dashboards.
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and dbt.
Develop and optimize BigQuery data models for analytics and product use cases.
Implement ELT workflows and enforce best practices in dbt.
Integrate data workflows with backend services and APIs.
Ensure data quality, reliability, observability, and cost optimization.

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer.
Strong programming skills in Python.
Solid experience with SQL and analytical data modeling.
Hands-on experience with BigQuery.
Production experience with dbt.
Experience building and maintaining analytics-ready datasets.
Strong software engineering fundamentals (testing, version control, code reviews).

Nice to have

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (e.g., Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions).
Experience with Looker (LookML, semantic modeling, dashboards).
Background working with Product to gather requirements.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
Experience with streaming or event-based architectures or Ruby on Rails.
