What you will do

• Collaborate with analytics and finance teams to enable trusted metrics and dashboards.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and dbt.
• Develop and optimize BigQuery data models for analytics and product use cases.
• Implement ELT workflows and enforce best practices in dbt.
• Integrate data workflows with backend services and APIs.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, observability, and cost optimization.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Solid experience with SQL and analytical data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery.
• Production experience with dbt.
• Experience building and maintaining analytics-ready datasets.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals (testing, version control, code reviews).

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (e.g., Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions).
• Experience with Looker (LookML, semantic modeling, dashboards).
• Background working with Product to gather requirements.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with streaming or event-based architectures or Ruby on Rails.
