Software Engineer (Defense)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Defense): Building and deploying cutting-edge cloud-based software products for internal R&D and Department of Defense contracts with an accent on full-stack development, DevOps, and cloud systems. Focus on supporting all phases of the software development life cycle within an Agile team and ensuring compliance with U.S. government contract requirements.

Location: Fully onsite in Orlando, Florida, USA. Only U.S. citizens are eligible due to U.S. Government contract requirements. Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

What you will do

• Support the development, deployment, and sustainment of technology demonstrators.
• Present and conduct technology demonstrations to leadership and potential customers.
• Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle.
• Perform as part of an Agile (SAFe) team (scrums, planning, retrospectives).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, software, or computer science.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Knowledge and experience in 2 or more of the following categories: Frontend development (Angular, React, Vue, Typescript), Backend development (C#, .NET, C++, Python, Node), Data storage and messaging (PostgreSQL, Neo4J, RabbitMq, Kafka, WebSockets), DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, OpenShift, Jenkins, Terraform, GitLab Runner), or Cloud Systems (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Must be a U.S. citizen due to U.S. Government contract requirements.
• Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Nice to have

• Machine Learning and Data Analytics; Virtual Reality; Cloud technologies; 3D Modeling.
• Geospatial data processing and visualization (GDAL, PDAL, PostGIS, Geoserver, OpenLayers, Leaflet, Cesium).
• SAFe Certification.
• Experience with gaming technologies such as Unity 3D, Unreal Engine.
• IAT Level 2 Certification (e.g., Security +).
