What you will do

• Create lighting scenes in Maya and composite rendered shots in Nuke to finalize episodes.
• Tweak provided light rigs, render setups, and compositing templates to achieve the desired look.
• Optimise render settings and monitor renders to stay within time budgets.
• Collaborate with the team, communicate with leads, and manage time efficiently.
• Problem-solve errors and glitches, and efficiently address feedback.

Requirements

• Knowledge of lighting principles and 3D rendering in stylised animation (Maya, Redshift or comparable).
• Technical understanding of biased rendering for efficiency and avoiding noise/artefacts.
• Understanding of colour theory, aesthetics, composition, and utility passes in Nuke.
• Familiarity with camera depth of field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an eye for detail.
• Good communication, teamwork, and ability to respond positively to feedback.
• Ability to work independently, diligently, and manage time efficiently.
• Must be based regionally in the UK, outside of the M25.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Python scripting.
• Knowledge of After Effects.
• Experience using FTrack.
• Knowledge of shading.
• Understanding of a 3D production pipeline.
