Software Engineer Intern (AI)

Software Engineer Intern (AI): Building and optimizing next-generation ML-based ad-serving platforms and backend services with an accent on scalability, availability, and performance. Focus on designing data pipelines, developing APIs, and creating internal tools to enhance system efficiency.

Location: Must be able and willing to work from our Seattle, WA or Redwood City, CA office.

Salary: $9,500 – $11,400 USD (monthly base pay)

What you will do

• Add features to high-performance, low-latency backend servers.
• Enhance system scalability, availability, and performance.
• Develop novel improvements to pricing theory and/or algorithms.
• Design and ship new features in collaboration with other engineers, PMs, and UI Designers.
• Develop internal tools to enhance developer productivity and system efficiency.
• Design and implement backend data pipelines for big data manipulation and management.

Requirements

• Able and willing to work from our Seattle, WA or Redwood City, CA office.
• Must be able to work full-time (40-hours per week) for 12-weeks during the summer of 2026 (May - September).
• Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD program in Computer Science, or a related technical field during the internship.
• Candidates pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree must be graduating and obtaining their degree by June of 2027.
• Strong background in data structures and algorithms.
• Strong coding and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with distributed systems and/or databases.
• Fluency with at least one programming language for server development like C/C++, Java, Go, Rust.
