TL;DR

Head of Tax (Fintech): Managing Korean tax affairs and coordinating with specialists on tax matters with an accent on ensuring tax compliance, risk management, and reporting. Focus on developing and implementing tax strategies, managing tax audits, and providing efficient tax planning based on future developments.

Location: Hwasung, Korea. You are expected to be in the office 3-4 days per week and company policy allows you to work from home 1-2 days per week.

What you will do

• Manage a team of tax experts, providing inspiring leadership and people development.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, and other functions to deliver value to hirify.global.
• Contribute to managing Tax & Customs aspects of supporting customers in Korea.
• Ensure Tax Compliance & Control through implementation and monitoring of processes for tax risk management and reporting.
• Participate in the development of the APAC tax strategy in line with the Global Tax Strategy of hirify.global.
• Manage various regional tax projects and outside consultants to maximize benefits.

Requirements

• Academic background in Accounting, (Tax) Law, Economics, or Business Administration, combined with Tax Law courses.
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience with a combination of Big-4 Firm and in-house Head of Tax.
• Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary environment and in a multi-cultural team.
• Fluent in English and Korean, both orally and in writing.
• Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
