Software Engineer, Observability (AI): Building and optimizing observability products for hirify.global with an accent on scalable infrastructure and AI-powered UI. Focus on developing foundational infra and novel internal tools to ensure reliability, performance, and observability of production systems.

Location: Onsite in San Francisco, CA. This role is subject to US employment laws including the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance, and the California Fair Chance Act.

Salary: $255,000 – $405,000 + Offers Equity

What you will do

• Own core observability infrastructure, including distributed logging, time series, and trace storage.
• Build AI-native tools that help engineers detect, understand, and resolve issues autonomously.
• Contribute to UI experiences like dashboards, notebooking, or interactive debugging.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, researchers, user ops, and other teams across the company to build the next-generation observability product.

Requirements

• Operated large-scale distributed systems in production, especially logging systems or other time series databases.
• Thrive in ambiguous environments and roll up your sleeves to solve unscoped problems.
• Have full-stack chops or product sensibilities and are excited to build real tools people use.
• Strong fundamentals in systems, networking, and cloud infra (Kubernetes, AWS, etc).

Nice to have

• Built or contributed to observability systems (e.g. Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, etc).
