Unreal Programmer (C++)

Unreal Programmer (C++): Building and optimizing game engine connections and toolchains for mobile platforms with an accent on performance issues, debugging, and automation. Focus on complex architecture thinking, long-term development cycles, and maintaining first-party service integrations.

Location: Truly flexible work: 100% remote (for individuals residing in the province of Quebec), hybrid, or 100% on-site, it’s your choice. Ability to travel abroad when required.

What you will do

• Participate in daily Scrum meetings and code reviews.
• Identify and resolve performance issues related to CPU, GPU, and memory.
• Develop and maintain connections between the engine and toolchains/pipelines on mobile.
• Debug issues related to new mobile devices and operating system updates.
• Automate tools for use by the programming and quality assurance teams.
• Maintain configurations and integrations with first-party services (Apple, Google, Epic, etc.).

Requirements

• University or college degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a programming role.
• Strong understanding of the different hardware and software layers involved in the execution of a video game.
• Ability to think systemically, considering complex architectures (SDK / game servers or clients / Unreal Engine / streaming protocols).
• Comfortable with long-term development cycles.
• Excellent command of the C++ language.
• Excellent command of both written and spoken French and English; English proficiency is required for collaboration with English-speaking partners.

• Experience in mobile game development.
