Software Engineer - Assistant Vice President (Ruby on Rails/React)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; office-based four days per week with remote work available on Fridays

What you will do

• Develop backend features using Ruby and Rails.
• Build frontend functionality with React and Redux.
• Create unit and integration tests using RSpec, Cucumber, and Capybara.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions.
• Work with Product Management to detail requirements, review work in progress, and resolve issues found through manual testing.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and peer code reviews within the SDLC and change management process.

Requirements

• Degree in Software Engineering.
• 6+ years of full-stack web application development experience.
• 6+ years of experience with React and Ruby on Rails; Python or Elixir may substitute for less Ruby expertise.
• 6+ years of HTML and CSS development experience.
• Understanding of relational database concepts and modeling practices.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese, written and verbal, is required.
