What you will do
- Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team (Backend & Frontend).
- Drive technical direction and system ownership for the Fulfillment domain.
- Improve the post-order customer experience by reducing shipping friction and increasing reliability.
- Partner with Product and UX to shape the roadmap and deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Enable faster and higher-quality delivery by establishing engineering standards and improving processes.
- Navigate ambiguity in a scale-up environment, balancing immediate delivery with strategic platform improvements.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering foundation with 5–10 years of experience.
- Proven people leadership experience (1–2+ years) growing, coaching, and developing engineers.
- Experience working in cross-functional product teams, partnering with Product, UX, and business stakeholders.
- Confidence in technical decision-making, guiding architectural trade-offs and complex system challenges.
- Ownership mindset, able to tackle problems end-to-end and drive solutions forward.
- Must be based in Lisbon, Portugal, following a hybrid work model (minimum two days per week in the office).
- Open to supporting relocation to Lisbon, Portugal for candidates from another location.
