MSP Engineer

TL;DR

MSP Engineer: Architecting, monitoring, and maintaining client technology network, cloud, and server infrastructure with an accent on improving client environments with the latest technology, cyber security, and cloud solutions. Focus on expert administration of Microsoft SQL databases and balancing multiple customer requests and projects.

Location: In office in Charlotte, NC, with willingness to travel locally 1-2 days a week. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and undergo E-Verify.

What you will do

• Architect, monitor, and maintain client technology network, cloud, and server infrastructure.
• Serve as a Technology Advisor to clients, discussing opportunities to improve environments with the latest technology, including Cyber Security and cloud solutions.
• Administer Microsoft SQL databases, backup schema, log management, and optimization.
• Balance multiple customer requests, smaller projects, and necessary meetings.
• Be flexible for working after business hours and weekends when required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working with customer support in computer systems, servers, and networking within a Managed Services or similar consulting field.
• Strong skills in network configuration, maintenance of firewalls (i.e., SonicWall, Meraki), switches, and wireless access points.
• Proficiency with Microsoft M365 products, focusing on messaging and security solutions.
• Work from office in Charlotte, NC.
• Willingness to travel locally 1-2 days a week.
• Ability to work in the U.S. and undergo E-Verify.

Nice to have

• Current certifications in relevant technologies.
• Experience with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint.
• Skills in SAGE 300 & 100, Linux, SAN Storage, Mobile deployments, FACTS, and Disaster Recovery.
